  Kilikia distills its brandy using traditional Charentais-style copper pot stills — the same alembic design employed in Cognac production — applying a double distillation process to maximize the aromatic complexity of the spirit. The base wine is made exclusively from indigenous Armenian grape varieties, with Voskehat grapes at the core. Sourced from vineyards in the Ararat region, where Armenia's brandy tradition has deep roots, the resulting eau-de-vie is then aged for a minimum of 10 years in oak, allowing extended wood contact to develop the deep amber color and layered character that define the XO designation.
